Automotive Mechanic Technicians Needed!!! Entry Level & Experienced!

SPRINT MOTORSPORTS is looking to hire 2 new additions to our staff.

**We are in need of an entry-level mechanic that has at minimum, basic automotive courses completed at a tech school or 2 years of experience at a shop. You will also be required to help out and learn to assist customers in our DIY or Die Techshop.

** We are looking to hire an intermediate level technician or higher, that is competent in general mechanical repairs and understands electronic systems, diagnostics, and wiring. This includes being able to use an oscilloscope and multimeter. Techs usually either understand the electrical stuff or they don’t. It takes a certain kind of mind. If you are the type that “gets it,” then reach out to us. If you are comfortable with automotive electrical and willing to learn, we can teach you advanced systems diagnostics and deciphering in-car networks and communication. More than half of the work coming into our facility involves systems diagnostics. The current transition to electric vehicles, and with all cars becoming rolling computer networks, most work will evolve into advanced computer systems diagnostics. If you have the mind for electrical and are good at mechanical repairs, we have the position for you.

Part-time and full-time work is available. Flexible hours and shifts.

Basic Job Requirements:
• You must be punctual and reliable
• Ensure customer vehicles and work areas are clean and well-kept
• Valid Driver’s License
• English Speaking
• Able to lift 60 pounds, stoop, crawl, and stand for long periods of time and perform overhead work.
• Good Reading, Writing, and computer skills. -We use a computerized shop management system that requires you to enter service and repair notes for staff and customers.

Why work at Sprint Motorsports

We are an independent auto repair shop with a unique business idea that runs a Do-It Yourself car repair rental shop called DIY or DIE Techshop.

Whether you are an entry level mechanic or seasoned technician we will have a position for you based on your skills, abilities, and experience. We can work with you to help advance your career and salary, as long as you are reliable, willing to learn, and hard working. The owners have run other successful shops with over 50 years of combined experience.

Choose a place where you are NOT DISPOSABLE and FEEL VALUED.

Work for a place where the owners have worked their way up from the bottom and have been in your shoes. We have seen all the junk and lies this industry has to offer. We have worked for terrible managers and shop owners who have no business running a shop. We have worked our way up in the industry from starting as shop helpers and cleaning toilets to oil changers to becoming ASE Master Technicians with factory training.

We aren’t going to blow smoke up your ass and throw fairy dust at you. The auto repair industry is a tough industry that requires hard work… but with the right place and passionate people that love cars, it can also be very rewarding.

Send us a resume and a cover letter stating your goals, needs, and desires in this industry, and come talk to us.

To Apply, please use the form below, or contact or give us a call at 209.926.9333. We welcome you to stop by our shop at 280 E Larch Rd Ste 109, Tracy CA 95304. If you have any questions at all, don’t be shy about asking our friendly staff for assistance.
